Project Description

The RSC 2010 project was a national-scale remote sensing and land cover classification exercise covering Greek territory, carried out at Eratosthenes S.A. in Athens.

The project involved:

  • Processing and mosaicking multispectral satellite imagery from multiple sensors
  • Supervised and unsupervised classification of land use / land cover categories
  • Accuracy assessment using ground truth data and confusion matrices
  • Production of cartographic outputs in standard INSPIRE-compliant formats
  • Integration with existing national GIS datasets

The classified outputs were delivered to government clients for environmental monitoring and land management applications.
