Research Interests
I am a Senior Research Fellow in Health Data Science and AI at the Institute of Population Health Sciences, University of Liverpool. My research sits at the intersection of Health Data Science, Geospatial Analytics, Public Health Epidemiology, and AI & Public Health Informatics.
I manage the Place-based Longitudinal Data Resource (PLDR) — a service providing access to open and safeguarded data for various projects across NIHR ARC NWC and NIHR SPHR, while leading data acquisition, curation and information governance support across the Institute of Population Health. Lead researcher in developing neighbourhood-level health indicators using large-scale linked datasets, including the Small Area Mental Health Index (SAMHI) and Small Area Vulnerability Index (SAVI), which have informed public health evaluation, local planning and recovery activity. Contribute advanced quantitative expertise to major population health evaluations, including difference-in-differences and synthetic control studies, and lead the analytic work of the Telehealth project and coordinating cross-sector collaboration to deliver data-driven insight.
